After India's loss, the talks were about MS Dhoni's future as there were requests pouring in from the fans asking the 2011 World Cup-winning skipper to reconsider his retirement plans and that he still had a lot of Cricket left in him. While Dhoni was the biggest talking point, it seems that even Rohit Sharma, the clear star of the Indian team in this World Cup, is also being discussed, albeit in a different way.

Despite India's ouster, Sharma is still the leading run scorer of the ongoing quadrennial event. The dynamic opening batsman has scored 648 runs from nine matches which includes five centuries which is the most in a single edition of the showpiece event. However, he got out very early in the semis for 1 as India reeled at 5/3 against the Kiwis.
