Bale scores as Tottenham recovers to oust Wycombe in FA Cup

Playing his first full match of season, Bale netted before halftime to cancel out Fred Onyedinma's shock opener for second-tier side.

With extra time looming, Harry Winks put Tottenham in front with a curling strike in 86th minute n Tanguy Ndombele netted twice.
Jose Mourinho's side plays Everton in fifth round to maintain its challenge in four competitions.

Mourinho named a strong team and this was a chance for Bale to show why he should be in team more often while back on loan from Real Mrid.
He wasted a chance after five minutes by heing wide and dragged an effort wide from ar good position on edge of area.

Those misses proved costly as Wycombe took le in 25th minute.
Uche Ikpeazu got better of Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld down right and his cross was t cleared by Davinson Sanchez, who could only divert it into path of Onyedinma to fire home.

Spurs went for a quick response and chances continued to rack up. Japhet Tanganga heed over from a corner immediately after, Bale hit side-netting with ar good chance, and Moussa Sissoko’s deflected effort from edge of area canned into crossbar.
Mourinho may have been fearing worst when he saw Tanganga he ar golden chance against crossbar, but his side finally levelled in first-half stopp time.

Lucas Moura found on left and Bale broke offside trap to hook home from close range.
That ought to have been platform for Spurs to go on and win game comfortably in second half but a raft of missed chances caused unnecessary stress.
Bale was again wasteful after surging into area, Erik Lamela could t get a proper connection on his shot from a good position and fired straight at Ryan Alsopp, and n Moura poked wide after finding on edge of area.
Mourinho was t prepared to risk anything so he sent on Kane and Son Heung-min, but y too were equally wasteful.
Kane saw his shot blocked by Alsopp after miscontrolling, and Son flashed an effort wide after a tremark dart into area.
But Spurs won it with a two-goal salvo in of 72 seconds.
After Kane spurned ar chance at far post, ball fell to Winks 20 yards out and midfielder sent a curling effort into top corner.
Immediately from kickoff, Spurs got in down left, Son’s shot was deflected into path of Ndombele and Frenchman diverted into bottom corner. He scored a second in stopp time when he superbly cut inside and fired in at near post.
