Erik Ten Hag Identifies The Teams That Will Pose Biggest Threat To Manchester United In PL 2024-25

Manchester United are officially going to be kickstarting their season with the Manchester Derby as they are all set to face city rivals Manchester City in the FA Community Shield 2024 on Saturday, 10th August. 

Last time both sides met was back in the FA Cup final when United stunned City and won 2-1. Ahead of the mammoth season opening clash with their arch rivals, Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag previeed the new season and has identified the teams that are going to cause them the biggest threat in the Premier League.

Manchester United are set to face Manchester City in the FA Community shield this weekend and post that they will prepare for their Premier League season's opening encounter against Fulham on Friday, 16th August. 

Manchester United endured a rough Premier League campaign last season as they finished 8th outside the European spots but made it to the Europa League thanks to their FA Cup triumph. 

Ahead of the new season, Erik Ten Hag identified that Manchester United's biggest weakness last campaign was consistently beating opponents that were ranked lower in the Premier League table. The Dutch manager wants his side to remain focused against these teams as this where the Premier League campaign can derail.  

“We beat Liverpool, we beat Man City but our challenge is to bring consistency and, I say with all respect, against lower-class teams: to win the points and I think other teams are ahead of us in that prospect. There we have to catch up,” said Erik Ten Hag.

FA Community Shield to weigh progress? 

Erik Ten Hag and Manchester United will want to win the first piece of silverware of the season when they face their rivals in Manchester City.
