Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho in the 2020 summer transfer window. It is believed that Zinedine Zidane has been an admirer of Jadon Sancho for some time and had asked the Real Madrid board to pursue him while he was at Manchester City. The Spanish giants had previously tried to lure Sancho to Santiago Bernabeu. They have begun doing their transfer work as they plot a fresh move for the 19-year-old next summer.

Jadon Sancho is considered as one of the world’s brightest talents, after having moved to Dortmund from Manchester City in 2017. He has established himself well at Signal Iduna Park, after cementing his place in the team’s starting XI. Dortmund are now believed to have understood the player’s career intentions and have begun searching for his replacements.

Real Madrid to face competition to sign Jadon Sancho
Real Madrid will have to fight it out in the transfer battle against Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, both the clubs being interested in the England star. United wanted to bring the player to Old Trafford in the previous summer, but failure to secure a Champions League berth dented their hopes. However, they would be willing to go all out in the coming window.

Manchester City, on the other hand, have the option to counter any offer for Sancho as they had inserted a clause that entitles them to be informed if Dortmund accept a bid for the star in future.

Borussia Dortmund: Jadon Sancho was prolific last season
The winger scored 13 goals, with 11 assists in 23 matches played in the previous season. Dortmund realised the importance of their player and hence have put a price tag of £156 million for their prized asset, which would typically be enough to rebuff interest from any club. However, considering Real Madrid’s financial muscle and spending capacity, the target of signing him remains achievable.
