Juventus rejected Mauricio Pochettino over £8m-a-year wage demands; Roma now favourites
Serie A champions Juventus rejected the opportunity to appoint Mauricio Pochettino over his steep wage demands with AS Roma now frontrunners for the Argentine.

Serie A champions Juventus reportedly rejected opportunity to appoint Mauricio Pochetti as a replacement for recently-axed Maurizio Sarri. A number of reports linked Mauricio Pochetti to Juventus following dismissal of Sarri but it's believed that Italian giants were unwilling to match Argentine's £8m-a-year w demands. Old Ly finally decided to appoint Andrea Pirlo as club's he coach with AS Roma w favourites to land Pochetti.

According to reports from Daily Star, Mauricio Pochetti was number one target for Juventus after sacking of Maurizio Sarri. Sarri was axed after Juventus failed to make it past Champions League last-16 following elimination against Lyon. However, it is reported that Juventus were unwilling to match Pochetti's £8m-a-year salary demands to replace Sarri. Over weekend, it was confirmed that Andrea Pirlo will become next Juventus manr, only nine days after Italian was appointed as he coach for Juventus U23s.

Mauricio Pochetti has been out of a job since vember 2019 after he was dismissed as Tottenham he coach. Pochetti's five-year spell at rth London came to an end following a poor start to 2019-20 season, only a few months after he guided Spurs to Champions League final. Pochetti has widely been lauded for his ability to build a winning side despite t having massive financial backing and former Spurs boss also built a superb reputation for being one of modern football’s most pioneering young manrs.

AS Roma favourites to snap up Mauricio Pochetti?
According to reports from Sky Sports, AS Roma are w frontrunners to snap up Mauricio Pochetti as ir next manr. Italian outfit failed to qualify for Champions League after finishing fifth in Serie A and suffered defeat in ir Europa League Round of 16 against Sevilla last week. With new AS Roma takeover, Giallorossi are hoping to build a solid foundation and are looking at a marquee manr to guide club forward.
