Sergio Ramos beats Cristiano Ronaldo in league free-kick tally over past two years
With his free-kick against Mallorca on Wednesday, Sergio Ramos has now overtaken his former club teammate and Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo's tally.

Real Mrid captain Sergio Ramos was in scintillating form against Mallorca as he scored in his second consecutive game on Wednesday, registering his third goal in last four games. With his free-kick against Mallorca, Real Mrid skipper has w overtaken his former club teammate and Juventus superstar Cristia Ronaldo's free-kick tally.

Sergio Ramos and Vinicus Jr were on target for Real Mrid as Zinedine Zidane's men saw off an easy opponent at Alfredo di Stefa. In 19th minute, Brazilian prodigy, who was starting for second game in a row, received a sublime pass in Mallorca's penalty area from Luka Modric. Despite being surrounded by several defenders, youngster did t succumb to pressure and chipped ball calmly over Malo Reina.

Sergio Ramos stepped up to take set-piece and calmly pulled off a sensational goal on top left corner. With his free-kick against Mallorca, Ramos has w scored more free-kicks in domestic league than his former teammate Cristia Ronaldo in past two years.

While Cristia Ronaldo was earlier touted as one of best free-kick takers in world, his conversion rate has declined poorly in past few seasons. In fact, Portuguese international is yet to score a free-kick for Juventus over past two seasons in Serie A. On or hand, Real Mrid centre-back Sergio Ramos has edged past Cristia Ronaldo after scoring from a set-piece against Mallorca, his first in past two seasons.
