Kei Nishikori to skip rest of the season due to an elbow injury

World No. 8 Kei Nishikori has decided to end his season early due to right arm and elbow injury. The Japanese stated that the injury had been trouble for him.

World . 8 Kei Nishikori has reportedly decided to end his season early due to right arm and elbow injury. Last month, Japanese star stated that injury h been boring him since French Open. Hence, he missed ATP Tour’s Asian Swing, including Rakuten Japan Open. Nishikori h won title twice before.

Kei Nishikori: t selected for team Japan

On Twitter, Nishikori wrote that he is s and he will miss his place in Japan’s Davis Cup team. Also, he ded that he would be available next year, for sure. Talking to press, Japan Tennis Association revealed that Nishikori h been removed from national team for Davis Cup.

29-year-old has t played in tournament since U.S. Open in August. Also, he sat out remainder of 2017 season with a broken right wrist. Japanese tennis player has t played in any of tournaments for Japan since  Davis Cup World Group playoff match in September 2016. But he was supposed to join this year in order to meet qualifications for 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
