Andy Murray said his arrival to tennis is going "in the right direction,'' after the star player who had secured the number one position, played his greatest match on October 1, since his hip surgery. Andy Murray at the China Open defeated the US Open semi-finalist Matteo Berrettini by 7-6 (7/2), 7-6 (9/7) in just two hours. China-Open which is organised in Beijing has witnessed some tremendous action lately. After his unbeatable victory over the 13th ranked Italian, Murray will complete with compatriot Cameron Norrie in the last 16.

'In the right direction'
Murray in his interview said this was his big step forward since the first singles match of his return after he was defeated at the Cincinnati Masters during the mid of August. After Murray’s major hip operation, it was the first time that the star player recorded his first win at ATP singles match. Murray said that he didn't feel like he was playing at a great level. The statement comes after his match against Richard Gasquet in Cincinnati.
Murray also said to media that, “Whereas even last week (in Zhuhai), although I lost in the second round, I felt like I was playing tour-level tennis.”. He further asserted that “I think things are going in the right direction,”.

Murray back in the form
Andy Murray is currently ranked 503 in the world. He battled once more from a breakdown to drive a tiebreak in the first set against the Italian Berrettini. Murray showed immense determination and will power which attributed to him being positioned number one in 2016, as he took the primary set from the eighth seed. However, the second set started with the service and again ended with a tiebreaker. Murray saved two set points on his way to winning the match. He acknowledged that patience is the key to win any match. Andy Murray in his interview said that last week was a big step for him. He further said that he should keep trying and try to play as many matches as possible with consistency so that he is able to create a momentum to play at least three to four matches in a week. He also accepted that at the moment he is not ready for that.
