Randy Orton extends support to BLM, says he understands why Colin Kaepernick kneeled
WWE superstar Randy Orton revealed he finally understood why Colin Kaepernick kneeled during the national anthem and extended support to Black Lives Matter.

WWE star Randy Orton revealed this week that he has finally understood what Colin Kaepernick kneeling protest was all about. Colin Kaepernick's protest has been garnering a lot of attention in United States and across globe after brutal killing of George Floyd by a white police officer. Orton previously lashed out at Colin Kaepernick kneeling protest in 2016 but has w changed his stance in wake of Black Lives Matter movement.

Randy Orton pledged his support to Black Lives Matter initiative this week. Iin a tweet last month, WWE superstar said that while he was in "all lives matter" camp, that cant happen unless Black Lives Matter mess is understood. In a chat with CBS Sports, Randy Orton revealed how he came to realisation and how he finally understood why Colin Kapernick took a knee. 40-year-old said that when Colin Kaepernick took knee in 2016, he thought about it as disrespecting national flag and servicemen and woman who sacrifice ir lives for freedom of US. Randy Orton revealed he understood w that Colin Kaepernick kneeling protest was t about disrespecting flag or servicemen, it was taking a stand against police brutality, something he did t see, 'being a white guy'.

Randy Orton revealed that after speaking to his black brors and sisters, people who he h kwn for more than a dece, he realised cops took vant of situation and discriminated on basis of colour. ' Viper' said that he feels ashamed that it did t occur to him to pledge his support to movement earlier and ded that he stands by his Twitter comments. Randy Orton furr said that if someone disagrees with his opinion, y need to do more digging and asked m to check Twitter accounts of Big E, Mark Henry, and Xavier Woods, where y have recounted ir opinions and stories on racial and social injustice prevailing in US. Randy Orton furr ded that as a white person with a platform he can influence change and help Black Lives matter initiative. 2013 Money in Bank champion ded that he did his research before coming to conclusion of supporting movement, and believes resting on his laurels and doing thing is t an option.
