TikTok is among 59 Chinese apps that were banned by Indian government, citing threat to country’s security and society. Ministry of Information and Techlogy has stated that se Chinese apps were in clear violation of privacy and shared ir data on servers outside of India. government issued a tice to Apple and Google to restrict apps for Indian users from ir respective app stores, and are also in talks with Internet Service Providers and telecom operators to help enforce ban. This has left people questioning, “Will TikTok make a comeback in India”?

Will TikTok come back?
This is t first time that Chinese social media platform has received a suspension in India. Earlier, TikTok was banned in country for allegedly exposing children to porgraphic content and some privacy concerns, although it was soon reinstated on Google Play Store and App Store. However, it might take a bit longer for TikTok to return to India, if at all.

Following ban, TikTok has claimed that it complies with all data privacy and security requirements of Indian law and that it has t shared any information of its Indian users with any foreign government, including Chinese government. It also claims that y will maintain decorum and be in compliance with Indian law in future as well.
Nikhil Gandhi, Head of TikTok, India, has also responded to ban saying that company has been invited to meet with concerned government authorities for a chance to respond and submit ir clarification on matter. So, re is still a chance of TikTok making a comeback in India.

Users who have TikTok installed on ir devices are still able to use app despite being banned in India. However, new users won’t be able to download TikTok anymore as it has been removed from both Google Play Store and App Store. This means that users who have app installed on ir devices will be able to keep using it, for w, but, if y uninstall it in future, it will longer be available to download again. app, however, will t receive any furr updates and patches which will likely make it redundant.
