Samsung really wants you to buy its upcoming Galaxy S10 so much so that it may be looking to bundle a free pair of yet-to-launch truly wireless Galaxy Buds as part of pre-order benefits in select markets. Now Samsung is yet to officially unpack both the Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy Buds and is yet to confirm such an offer for early-birds, but it could be a possibility according to multiple reports.

Samsung usually bundles a pair of AKG earphones with its premium Galaxy S and Note devices, but things are different this year. Not only is Samsung celebrating 10 years of the Galaxy S, it’s also looking up to the Galaxy S10 to prop things up from a sales and profits perspective. The reason being, the Galaxy S9 has failed to live up to its expectations in these regards.

The Galaxy Buds have already passed the FCC so we do have some rough idea about what could be in store. Moreover, a set of new leaks have now surfaced online, tipping the colour variants, battery capacity and a few more details in relation to the Galaxy Buds.

For starters, the Galaxy Buds will reportedly pack 58mAh batteries while its charging case will add 252mAh more. This is smaller than the capacities of the existing Gear Icon X so battery life is a concern at this point of time but where the Buds will fall short in battery, they’ll reportedly make up in terms of internal storage. The Galaxy Buds are said to pack 8GB storage, which is double the storage found in the Gear Icon X.

But the real star of the show, according to reports, will be wireless charging. And the Galaxy S10 will support 9W reverse wireless charging. This means that the Samsung Galaxy S10 will be able to wirelessly charge the Galaxy Buds.

Core hardware specifications of the Galaxy Buds are scarce for now, although some reports hint at Bluetooth 5 support and IPX2-rating for sweat resistance.

Lastly, Samsung is looking to offer the Galaxy S10E (one of the three Galaxy S10 phones that it will launch on February 20) in an exclusive canary yellow colour, but looks like the Galaxy S10E won’t be the only yellow product that it will launch at Unpacked 2019. The Galaxy Buds will reportedly also come in yellow, in addition to black and white.
