Amazon has announced its Great India Festival Celebration Special sale in India. Now that Amazon has got over with its Great Indian Festival sale, the e-commerce giant has swiftly shifted its focus towards its upcoming Diwali sale. Amazon's limited-period Diwali sale is starting from October 13. The five-day sale will end on October 17.

As part of the Celebration Special sale, Amazon has partnered with ICICI Bank to provide users with a 10 per cent instant discount to those purchasing items using ICICI credit and debit cards. ICIC customers also stand a chance to avail additional bonus offers. Amazon is also offering early access to Prime members. If you are a Prime member, you get early access to the sale starting noon on October 12. Amazon is also offering credit and EMI options.

Amazon says you can avail discount up to 40 per cent on smartphones, in addition to no-cost EMI, exchange offer and free screen replacement. Amazon is expected to offer discounts on products across the range of consumer electronics category. What's more, you can also avail up to 60 per cent off on TVs and appliances, as well as up to 90 per cent off and extra Rs 1000 cashback on Amazon Fashion.

'Amazon Festive Sale saw orders from 99.4 percent pin codes in India'

Amazon Great Indian Festival Celebration Special sale also includes up to 80 per cent off on home and kitchen products. Some special prices and offers are expected to be on Amazon Echo and Alexa devices. Amazon kicked off the first phase of its festive sale on September 29. Earlier, Amazon said it sold premium smartphones worth Rs 750 crore within 36 hours of starting the sale. Amazon also saw a massive uptick in terms of the number of premium smartphones sold.

Amazon claims it received orders from 99.4 per cent of pin codes in India during the first phase of its Great Indian Festival sale. It says more than 65,000 sellers from more than 500 cities received orders in the five days. Amazon said more than 88 per cent of new customers came from small towns.

In related news, Flipkart is also hosting its next phase of festive sale -- Big Diwali sale -- starting October 12. Flipkart Plus members get four hours of early access starting 8 PM on October 11.
