Apple has slashed the price of the iPhone XR in India after the iPhone launch. The iPhone XR which was launched at a starting price of Rs 76,900 for the base variant with 64GB storage now starts at Rs 49,900 in India. The 128GB variant of the iPhone XR which was launched at Rs 81,900 will now sell for Rs 54,900. Interestingly, the 256GB model of the iPhone XR seems to be discontinued in India as it does not make a mention on the Apple India website anymore.  

Here are all the new iPhone XR India prices post the revision

iPhone XR 64GB: Rs 49,900 (previously Rs 76,900)  

iPhone XR 128GB: Rs 54,900 (previously Rs 81,900) 

This is the second time the iPhone XR has received such a huge price cut. In April, Apple had slashed the price of the iPhone XR in India by a massive Rs 17,000 – a first for Apple. Apple historically had never slashed the price of its next-generation iPhones - even in a market like India which is infamous for being the most expensive market to buy an iPhone. Sadly, the April price cut was a limited period offer. The new price drop, post the iPhone 11 launch, is permanent – and should be applicable across online and offline sales channels. 

iPhone XS gets price cut as well 

The iPhone XS is also getting a Rs 10,000 price cut immediately after the iPhone 11 launch. The iPhone XS now starts at Rs 89,900 (previously Rs 99,900) for the 64GB variant while its 256GB variant will now be available for Rs 1,03,900 (previously Rs 1,14,900). 

Apple seems to be in the middle of updating its prices on its official website – so there could be more changes in the next few hours/days. We will update this piece as soon as we have more information.
