Post the 2GB data usage (in a day), internet speeds would be reduced to 80 Kbps. This offer is seemingly active across at least 20 telecom circles of BSNL. Hence, BSNL prepaid users can now check for the INR 78 recharge. In summary, the BSNL new Rs 78 plan lets users consume as much as 20 GB data; over a period of 10 days. Here, it is worth noting that Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio currently lets prepaid users consume 2GB data for a period of 28 days on recharging for INR 98. Jio prepaid users also get to check out content on JioTV with this recharge as well. For its JioPhone users, the Mumbai-based telco offers an INR 49 plan that comes with 1GB LTE data (plus unlimited calls) for a period of 28 days.

As of now, BSNL is said to be working intensively on rolling out 5G networks to coincide with the global rollout of the new standard. This is rumoured to take place either towards the later half of 2019 or 2020. Major names in consumer technology are also believed (by enthusiasts) to be working on rolling out their respective 5G offerings roughly at the same time as that of the believed 5G rollout.
