European Union Special Representative Miroslav Lajcak, and the United States Envoy to the Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, met with officials in Kosovo on Tuesday.
The pair held talks with both Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti, where the resumption of Kosovo and Serbia's EU-mediated dialogue was expected to be high on the agenda.

Speaking after the meeting, Kurti said the government was "fully engaged" in the talks.
Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in 2008, a move that Belgrade has refused to recognize.

Serbia has insisted that Kosovo remains part of the country, despite its declaration of independence following a 1998-99 conflict that killed some 13,000 people and ended after NATO bombed Serbia to stop its crackdown on separatist ethnic Albanians.
