Global leaders condemn the eight serial blasts on Easter Sunday in Sri Lanka

In the wake of the multiple blasts which have hit Sri Lanka killing 185 (which include 35 foreigners) and injuring over 400 people on Sunday, Global leaders have shared their prayers and thoughts with the victims' families and the injured people of Sri Lanka.

In wake of multiple blasts which have hit Sri Lanka killing 185 (which include 35 foreigners) and injuring over 400 people on Sunday, Global leers like British Prime Minister resa May, US President Donald Trump, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, French President Emmanuel Macron, Russian President Vlimir Putin and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison have condemned serial blasts and have shared ir prayers and thoughts with victims' families and injured people of Sri Lanka.

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier wrote in a mess to his Sri Lankan counterpart that he was "stunned and horrified" by "cowardly terror attacks."

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern described attack as "devastating" saying,

"New Zealand condemns all acts of terrorism, and our resolve has only been strengned by attack on our soil on 15th of March. To see an attack in Sri Lanka while people were in churches and at hotels is devastating."

Banglesh's Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her deep concerns over explosions which took place on Sunday morning.

Earlier, Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe dressed media and said 'action will be taken to stop activity of all extremist groups in country. Social media would be temporarily banned with 12-hour curfew from 6 pm to 6 am.'

On Sunday, three churches- St Anthony's Church in Colombo, St Sebastian's Church in western coastal town of Negombo and ar church in eastern town of Batticaloa and three hotels Shangrila, Cinnamon Grand, and Kingsbury were targeted, killing 185 people and injuring over 400, as per reports. re were two more blasts in Dematagoda and Dehiwala in day, as per reports.
