Hassan Rouhani: Iran will take 'revenge' for Soleimani's killing

After the United States killed Iran's top general Qassem Soleimani, Iran's President Hassan Rouhani in a tweet said that 'Iran will take revenge for this crime'

After United States killed Iran's top general and architect of Tehran's proxy wars in an airstrike at Baghd International Airport early on January 3, Iran's President Hassan Rouhani in a tweet said that 'Iran will take revenge for this heius crime'. In ar statement, Rouhani also said that “re is doubt that great nation of Iran and or free nations of region will take revenge for this gruesome crime from criminal America”.

Iran's supreme leer Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also reportedly warned of 'severe revenge for criminals who bloodied ir foul hands with his blood'. Khamenei furr also said that Soleimani's work and his path will t be stopped. 

Citing a Revolutionary Guard statement, Iranian state television said Qassem Soleimani was “martyred” in an attack by U.S. helicopters near airport, without elaborating. 'Quds Force were responsible for deaths'

Donald Trump has time and again showed a willingness to end US military presence in area. "We’re getting out. However, with concerns about bloody aftermath of this attack, killing of Suleimani is likely to be a climacteric moment for US in Middle East.

White House and Pentagon confirmed death of Iran's powerful military he by saying that attack was directed by US President Donald Trump on January 3. To assert furr, US President posted a picture of country's flag on his Twitter account as well.

"General Soleimani was actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout region. General Soleimani and his Quds Force were responsible for deaths of hundreds of American and coalition service members and wounding of thousands more," Department of Defense said.
