Hong Kong secures 15 million vaccine doses, says Chief Executive Carrie Lam

Hong Kong has secured delivery of 15 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines, with the first million to arrive as early as next month, the city's leader said Friday.

Hong Kong has secured delivery of 15 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines, with first million to arrive as early as next month, city's leer said Friday.

Hong Kong chief executive Carrie Lam said city h reached an agreement for seven and a half million doses from Sivac and same number from Pfizer/BioNTech.

As each person needs two doses, 15 million would be eugh to cover city's population, she said.

At-risk people, such as elderly and staff in nursing homes and in healthcare, would be given priority, Lam said at a news conference.
