EU's Josep Borrell says Russia 'directly responsible' for any shortage of grains
The EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borell has said that Russia is "directly responsible" for any shortage in grains.

EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borell has said that Russia is "directly responsible" for "any shorts in international tre in grains." He accused Russia of trying to blame sanctions imposed by EU for any short in international tre of grains and labelled it as "disinformation." Taking to his official Twitter handle, Josep Borrell stressed that Russia's blocke of Ukrainian ports has halted export of tons of grain, like corn and wheat.
In a series of tweets, Josep Borrell emphasized that EU's sanctions imposed against Russia are aimed to target Moscow's capacity to continue ongoing military offensive in Ukraine. He furr stated that sanctions do t target agricultural products and ir transportation. He accused Russia of blocking Ukrainian ports which has resulted in tons of grain, like corn and wheat being trapped in Ukraine, which is one of main world producers. Borrell reiterated European Union's support for Ukraine and ded that y will continue to make efforts with or countries to dress consequences of war.

EU opts sixth pack of sanctions against Russia

In sixth pack of sanctions, EU banned purchase, import or transfer of crude oil and refined petroleum products from Russia into EU. In dition, a SWIFT ban has been anunced for an ditional three Russian and one Belarusian banks. Furrmore, EU Council anunced suspension of brocasting of three more Russian state-owned outlets - Rossiya RTR / RTR Planeta, Rossiya 24 / Russia 24 and TV Centre International in EU. Moreover, EU has decided to impose sanctions against 18 entities and 65 individuals.

Putin claims Russia has t blocked Ukrainian grain export
Earlier on June 3, Russian President Vlimir Putin said that Moscow has t hindered grain export from Ukraine. Speaking to Rossiya-1 TV Channel, Putin said that grain can be transported through ports in Black Sea and neighbouring nations. Kremlin leer said that y "do t prevent" export of Ukrainian grain. He furr said that re are several ways to expert grain via ports controlled by Ukraine after mine clearance. He even mentioned that export of grain can be me through Danube River, Romania, Hungary, Poland and Belarus. It is pertinent to mention here that Ukrainian authorities have blamed Russia for blocking exports of agricultural products from ports of Ukraine.
