Switzerland's smallest museum, Hooesagg Museeum is thing but a window of two-feet-by-two-feet in size, covered with an iron grille in door of a 600-year-old house. 'Hoosesagg Museeum' when translated into English, res 'Pant Pocket Museum'. It could be smallest museum in world as well. museum is located in a narrow pedestrian alley in Basel's Old Town. owners of house Dagmar and Matthias Vergeat have been living re for 35 years and incidentally, y have also been running  museum for 24 years w.

Every few months, new items are displayed in 'Pant Pocket Museum. collection primarily consists of  couple's memorabilia, however, y accept contributions from ors as well. Dagmar looks after ministrative part of museum while her husband Matthias Vergeat mans its creative sections. Mathhias calls himself Creative Director of museum and says that his wife oversees what items are displayed re. Her responsibility also includes social media promotion and maintaining client relations of various people across  world who may be interested in displaying ir collection.

Her appreciation for it is reflected in a room that is behind little museum. room once originally belonged to ir eldest daughter who lived re until she got married. room h a fresco of Saint Christoffel carrying Jesus on shoulder. People passing by used to stop and have a look at it, which irritated Dagmar. This, however, was responsible for foundation of this museum. She said that people peeping into windows was disturbing for ir children as y were small. This was when her husband decided to have a display case easily fitting in windowpane of door. reason behind naming museum 'Hoosesagg Museeum' was that most of items displayed over re could easily fit in a pocket.
