Coronavirus: Fear for cancer patients as hospital clinician tested positive in UK
After a hospital medic was identified as a confirmed case of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, fears for the cancer patients admitted in the hospital grew strong.

On March 12, Chief Medical Officer of East and rth Hertfordshire NHS anunced that 12 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed which include a clinician from Mount Vern Cancer Centre.
However, hospital, in a statement, said that y are very well prepared for such incidents and NHS and Public Health England are taking all necessary steps to man situation. It ded that all individuals who were in contact with clinician have been identified and appropriate measures have been taken.

“ risk to patients and staff at Mount Vern Cancer Centre is very low and we are working with individual patients to appropriately man ir care,” said hospital.
“We would like to offer assurance that it remains safe for patients to attend Mount Vern Cancer Centre as rmal and ask patients to attend scheduled outpatients appointments,” it ded.

According to latest report, 42 new deaths in China due to coronavirus infections have been confirmed, taking total death toll because of dely virus to nearly 2,900. While most of cases are from Hubei province of China and city of Wuhan, epicentre of outbreak, or countries, including United States, Iran, Italy, and Japan, have also w reported deaths related to COVID-19.
