UK: Jeremy Corbyn will stay neutral in case of a new Brexit referendum

British politician and the leader of opposition Jeremy Corbyn on Wednesday suggested that he would remain neutral in case of a second referendum on Brexit.

British politician and leer of opposition Jeremy Corbyn on Wednesday has suggested that he would remain neutral in case of a second referendum on Brexit. Corbyn has said that crisis would end by taking decision back to people. "Only a Labour government would end Brexit crisis by taking decision back to people," Corbyn wrote in an article in Guardian. "We will give people final say on Brexit, with choice of a credible leave offer and remain," he ded.

Taking middle path

Labour party has been wary of alienating voters on eir side of 2016 Brexit referendum which has led to accusations of a ‘confused stance’ over it. Corbyn said that he will leave decision to  people of Britain. "I will pledge to carry out whatever people decide, as a Labour Prime Minister," said Corbyn. "We are only UK-wide party rey to put our trust in people of Britain to make decision," he ded.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Saturday said that he was making a huge amount of progress on Brexit deal with European Union (EU) and insisted that Britain must leave bloc on October 31. ruling Conservative Party has toughened its position on Brexit and pressure has extrapolated on Labour to campaign actively to stay in bloc.

Prorogation of Parliament

Parliament has been suspended for five weeks and MPs are t scheduled to return until October 14. Labour Party Brexit spokesperson, Keir Starmer believes that Johnson should reopen Parliament. Supreme Court has been hearing appeals to determine wher Prime Minister’s move to prorogue Parliament was legal. “ history of power to prorogue Parliament supports fact that it has been used for political purposes,” argued government lawyer Lord Keen in Britain’s top court.
