US President Donald Trump has said next G7 summit will t be at one of his own Florida golf clubs, reversing a decision that h sparked corruption accusations. Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney h anunced venue for summit on Thursday, causing a firestorm among Trump's Democratic opponents in Congress, who called move "among most brazen examples yet of president's corruption." "Based on both Media & Democrat Crazed and Irrational Hostility, we will longer consider Trump National Doral, Miami, as Host Site for G-7 in 2020," president tweeted.

"We will begin search for ar site, including possibility of Camp David, immediately." Mulvaney h said in his Thursday anuncement that south Florida venue was " best place" among a dozen US locations considered for June 10-12 garing next year. Critics, including ethic campaigners, said holding event at Doral would violate both foreign and domestic emoluments clauses that are designed to shield a US leer from outside influence. "He is exploiting his office and making official US government decisions for his personal financial gain," Jerry Nler, chairman of powerful House Judiciary Committee, said in a statement following Thursday anuncement.

Trump is squarely in House Democrats's sights as he faces an impeachment investigation into allegations that he pressured Ukraine into interfering on his behalf in 2020 US election. Even before Doral anuncement, lawmakers were probing Trump's suggestion at most recent G7 garing in France in August that next one could be hosted at one of his resorts.
On Friday, Congressional Democrats introduced new legislation called "Trump's Heist Undermines G-7 (THUG) Act," which would have cut off all federal funding for move to Doral, and require White House to turn over all relevant documents that show how ministration officials decided on venue.

measure h a chance of passing Democratic-controlled House of Representatives, but its prospects of being put to a vote in Republican-controlled Senate were slim.  Trump National Doral is vital to his organization's finances and was once one of his biggest money-makers, but it has lately been in steep decline, according to Washington Post. newspaper reported in May that resort's net operating income -- amount left after expenses are paid -- h fallen by 69 percent in two years.

Trump seemed to be aware early on of allegations of impropriety that would follow Doral anuncement. "We're going to have it re, and re's going to be folks who will never get over fact that it's a Trump property. We get that, but we're still going re," Mulvaney h told reporters. He said Doral would put on event at cost, which he claimed would be as much as half what it would be at or venues. But he gave estimates of cost or comparisons.

An important draw is club's size -- 900 acres, including three golf courses, according to Mulvaney, who said all foreign delegations and press could be housed "on campus." US last hosted group of world leers, n kwn as G8 before Russia was disinvited, in 2012. venue was Camp David.
