Antony Blinken says US achieved objectives in Afghanistan long before exit

Antony Blinken, US Secretary also talked about US' agreement with the Taliban to remove forces all remaining forces from Afghanistan by May 1st of this year.

Speaking before House Committee on Foreign Affairs, United States' Secretary Antony J. Blinken on Monday said that US achieved its objectives in Afghanistan 'long ago'. While revealing that 'by January 2021, Taliban was in strongest military position it h been in since 9/11 – and US h smallest number of troops on ground since 2001,' Blinken said President h options of eir 'ending war or escalating it'. It is pertinent to mention here that earlier in July when President was asked wher Taliban's takeover was "inevitable", Biden h asserted, ', it is t because you have Afghan troops, [you] have 300,00 well-equipped, as well-equipped as any army in world, and an Air Force, against something like 75,000 Taliban. It is t inevitable'.

"On this 20th anniversary of 9/11, as we hor nearly 3,000 men, women, and children who lost ir lives, we are reminded why we went to Afghanistan in first place: to bring justice to those who attacked us and to ensure that it would t happen again.  We achieved those objectives long ago," ded Secretary Blinken.

US anunces $64 million assistance for people of Afghanistan

Secretary Blinken tweeted informing financial assistance by US for 'humanitarian assistance for people of Afghanistan'. 

Furr speaking on US' role in war-torn country, secretary ded that President Joe Biden's 'predecessor' (Donald Trump) h an agreement 'with Taliban to remove all remaining forces from Afghanistan by May 1st of this year'. At same time, US h also reduced its troops to 2,500, ded Blinken.

Secretary Antony Blinken on Al-Qaida

Speaking on befitting reply given to  terrorist attack that took place in US on September 11, Antony Blinken asserted, 'Osama bin Len was killed in 2011 – a dece ago.  Al-Qaida’s capabilities were degred significantly, including its ability to plan and conduct external operations.  After 20 years, 2,641 American lives lost, 20,000 injuries, $2 trillion spent, it was time to end America’s longest war'. 

In his dress, Secretary also revealed that as per agreement Taliban agreed to ' to stop attacking US' but 'continued a relentless march on remote outposts, on checkpoints, on vills and districts, as well as major ros connecting m'. Concluding his dress, Antony Blinken mentioned that US should be proud of 'what y’re doing' with 'welcoming families from Afghanistan into our communities and helping m resettle as y start ir new lives'.
