With just a month left for United States Presidential elections, both, Republican candidate Donald Trump and his Democratic opponent Joe Biden are pulling all stops to allure American population. On or hand, voters are keenly observing and comparing both candidates to choose ir next leader. With coronavirus pandemic and anti-racism protests wreaking havoc in country, millions are gearing up to vote on vember 3. Here is everything that you should kw.

American political system is dominated by only two parties- Grand Old Party (GOP) or Republican and Democratic Party. This year Republicans have minated country’s current President Donald Trump for re-election. On or hand, Democrats have minated former vice president Joe Biden for position. While riding on phrase "Make America Great Again", Trump has promised agricultural and ecomic reforms, Biden has pledged to introduce reforms in policing system and end brutality in nation.

How to register

  • To register for voting, a person can visit https://vote.gov/
  • Download  National Mail Voter Registration Form. you can fill it out onscreen and print completed form, or print blank form and fill it out by hand. Remember to sign form before mailing it to location listed for your state.

Online registration is available for 40 states plus District of Columbia.  last date for registering to vote is subjected to state deadlines. A voter can check deadline in state by logging in at https://www.vote.org/voter-registration-deadlines/

Voting dates

vember 3 marks Election Day in US and voters can cast ir votes at different polling stations across country. However, unlike previous years, it is very unlikely that world would kw winner of US presidential election on same day because of expected widespread use of mail-in-ballot.

Mail-in ballots

Those who register for mail-in ballot can request ballot to be sent to m via mail, fax, email or through government website. If voters prefer t to return ir ballot via mail, y can do so in person at election office.

Early in-person voting

Any registered voter is eligible to cast an in-person vote, prior to election date, at several locations around county. As per election office, early voting begins October 6. 

Election Day voting

process of voting would be slightly different on Election Day, that is vember 3. Instead of being sealed in an envelope and counted later, votes are tabulated as y come in.

Result dates

In US, President is chosen indirectly by electoral college.   members of Electoral College will cast ir votes in order to elect next US president on December 14. On October 6, members of US Congress will meet in Washington to count electoral college votes following which y declare winner.
