US President Donald Trump labelled the impeachment trial as a 'scam' for the country and also called it a 'disgrace' in a tweet as he slammed Nancy Pelosi

As Donald Trump faces an impeachment trial in Senate, United States President took to Twitter to bring out his frustration against Speaker of House on Sunday. Trump slammed Nancy Pelosi for her absurd statement during trial as she said, "it’s t a question of proof, it’s a question of allegations." US President also labelled impeachment trial as a 'scam' for country. However, this is t first time that Pelosi has me such statements in Senate. Earlier, during impeachment vote, she h said, “Everyone will take us seriously if we all just wear black.”

'It is a hoax'
Earlier on January 16, US President predicted that his impeachment trial in Senate will be over very quickly. Furrmore, he ded that charges against him are a 'hoax'. impeachment trial reportedly began with preliminary proceedings after swearing-in of ten Senators who served as jury to prosecute former over two charges of abusing power and obstructing Congress.

Trump called trial 'a complete hoax' and said that 'a phony hoax put through by Democrats so y can win an election, its a hoax and everybody kws it's a complete hoax'. He furr reiterated sentiment in a tweet. Trump told reporter at Oval Office, "I think it should go very quickly". He furr ded, "It's totally partisan and it's a hoax. It's a hoax and everybody kws it's a complete hoax."

Trump is accused of abusing his power by pressuring Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, who served on board of a gas company in Ukraine, as Trump withheld $391 million in military aid that he later released. president is also accused of subsequently obstructing a congressional probe into his actions. matter what rules are in place for Senate trial, Trump seems to be safe from prospect of being convicted and removed from office.

Trump's Republican Party holds a 53-47 majority in chamber, and conviction requires a two-thirds majority, meaning if all Democrats voted to convict, n 20 Republicans would have to also vote that way for Trump to be convicted and removed from office. In coming weeks, senators will furr decide wher Trump should be removed from office over charges brought by House of Representatives. impeachment trial is scheduled to begin on January 21.
