Donald Trump says, Impeachment Proceedings are a 'Witch Hunt and a hoax'

The US President expressing his disinterest in the on-going hearings, said that he is ‘too busy’ working at the White House, calling impeachment a 'witch hunt'

The US President expressed his disinterest in the on-going impeachment hearings said on November 13, that he is ‘too busy’ working at the White House and fulfilling the people's expectation that he has no time to watch the impeachment inquiry. Donald Trump, however, ended up posting several tweets about the impeachment inquiry while calling it a ‘Witch Hunt’. 

President Trump, ‘too busy to watch the impeachment inquiry’

US President Donald Trump opined he was ‘too busy’ while sitting next to his Turkish counterpart during a bilateral talk in the Oval office. Trump stated, ‘I am too busy to watch it, it's a Witch Hunt, it's a hoax'.

He further added, "There’s nothing there to watch there. I see they're using lawyers that are television lawyers, they took some guys off the television. You know, I'm not surprised to see it, because Schiff can't do his own questions.” 

Donald Trump while addressing the reporters was pointing to Rep. Adam Schiff, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee who is undertaking the impeachment hearing on Capitol Hill.

Trump wants to find out the Whistleblower

Trump stated, when he took office as the President, there were thousands of ISIS fighters everywhere and now they are mostly in prison. In another address to the reporters, he said, ‘I want to find out who the Whistleblower is, who caused the situation which should not have happened’, he further added that the whistleblower gave incorrect information, including his call. Donald Trump said on November 14, he will be releasing the transcript of another call which was the first one of the two calls made to President Zelensky. Trump said he does not recall calling for any investigation and clearly mentioned, ‘No quid pro quo’.

White House and Trump called the impeachment inquiry, a ‘hoax’

On the other hand, the White House retweeted after the proceedings began that the impeachment inquiry is the ‘New hoax’.
