Gov. worried about "airlifting" virus into Florida

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis spoke to reporters at the state's newest coronavirus testing site in West Palm Beach, his second appearance Monday after announcing the birth of his third child that morning.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis spoke to reporters at state's newest coronavirus testing site in West Palm Beach, his second appearance Monday after anuncing birth of his third child that morning.

DeSantis said he was concerned about people traveling into Florida from New York tri-state area.

"To have virus airlifted in from all around world or country, you kw, that's a big problem," he said.

drive-thru site at FITTEAM Ballpark of Palm Beaches will open Tuesday. It will be souast Florida's fourth major testing location.

DeSantis said he h hoped to be watching spring training at ballpark this month inste.

For most people, new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.

For some, especially older ults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia and death.
