'Most aggressive response'
Trump boasted that his ministration leapt into action early on and undertook “quickest and most aggressive” response to a foreign outbreak in modern history. He also talked about "sweeping travel restrictions" imposed to start quarantines and said that ministration marshalled American industry and science to begin developing a vaccine.
US Congress has voted for a $8.3 billion emergency funding pack to contain dely virus. Earlier, United Nations h anunced release of $15 million from Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) to help fund global efforts to contain vel Coronavirus COVID-19. UN Humanitarian Chief Mark Lowcock anunced release of fund after World Health Organisation (WHO) raised alert to its top level of risk assessment - ‘very high’.

Early on, dely virus was confined to mainland China but more than 70 countries, apart from China, have w reported around 14,500 confirmed cases. According to latest report, 31 new deaths in China due to coronavirus infections have been confirmed, taking total death toll because of dely virus to over 3,000. While most of cases are from Hubei province of China and city of Wuhan, epicentre of outbreak, or countries, including United States, Iran, Italy, and Japan, have also w reported deaths related to COVID-19.
