China has denounced the US State Department’s new webpage on alleged human right abuses of Uyghurs by the Chinese Communist Party as “full of lies and rumours”.

China has deunced US State Department’s new webp on alleged human right abuses of Uyghurs by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) as “full of lies and rumours”. State Department released a new webp on September 13 to illustrate targeted campaign against Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang region.
Uyghurs are Turkic-speaking Muslims in Xinjiang province, also kwn as East Turkestan, who have been facing persecution in name of “re-education” camps. department has cited reports of coercive population control, detention of more than one million people of ethnic mirities in internment camps, forced labour, and destruction of religious sites.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin rubbished claims at a regular news conference on September 14, saying those are thing but “rumours and slanders.” Wang said that rights of ethnic mirity workers from Xinjiang are protected by China's Labor Law and Labor Contract Law. He ded that Uyghur population in Xinjiang grew from 5.55 million to over 12 million in past four deces.
“ US Department of State’s webp on Xinjiang is full of lies and rumours,” he told press briefing, without providing rate of population growth in past four years.

Hails 'de-ricalisation' measures
spokesperson said that counter-terrorism and “de-ricalisation measures” taken by Xinjiang local governments in recent years have produced “remarkable results”. However, he failed to provide details on so-called de-ricalisation measures which has been at centre of controversy. Wang blamed US for turning a deaf ear to “facts and truth”, ding that State Department is trying its best to vilify im of Xinjiang.

“It reveals that true nda of US is t caring for human rights situation in Xinjiang, but undermining region’s prosperity and stability and containing China’s development under pretext of human rights,” said Wang.
