In a recent interview with the Washington-based news site Punchbowl, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu outlined his vision for the future of the Gaza Strip after the current conflict ends. Netanyahu emphasized the need for a multi-faceted approach to ensure lasting peace and stability in the region.

Netanyahu highlighted the importance of sustained demilitarization, stating that Israel must take the lead in preventing any resurgence of terrorist activities. “I think we’re going to have to have sustained demilitarization, which can only be done by Israel against any resurgent terrorist effort,” he said.

The Israeli Prime Minister also stressed the necessity of establishing a civilian administration to manage both humanitarian aid distribution and civil governance in Gaza. He suggested that this administration should be supported by an inter-Arab coalition. “That has to be done, I think best done, with the cooperation of an inter-Arab sponsorship and assistance by Arab countries,” Netanyahu explained.
