Wuhan woman sues China for fudging COVID-19 numbers; wants apology for father's death
A woman from Wuhan is suing the government for the death of her father and for not revealing enough information about the COVID-19 pandemic when it hit the city

As China continues to face heat globally for fudging real COVID-19 data, a woman from Wuhan is suing government for death of her far and for t revealing eugh information about coronavirus pandemic when it hit city. Zhao Lei is seeking compensation and a public apology from China government for covering up facts about virus spre, according to an international media report.
Acco5rding to a report by SkyNews, Zhao Lei alleged that Chinese ministration forced people of Wuhan to go on as if thing h changed to cover up COVID menace in city. She also revealed that government covered fact that coronavirus was contagious.

Lei’s far contracted coronavirus at end of January and owing to pressure on health services, ambulance was available to take him to hospital. y h to walk for six miles before a local vehicle took m. Her far passed away due to respiratory failure while waiting for treatment in emergency room.

Lei’s application rejected by municipal court
Meanwhile, Lei’s application has been rejected by municipal court and her mor has been warned about repercussions if case isn’t dropped. She is w taking her case to Supreme Court of Hubei, parent province of Wuhan. According to reports, many journalists who were reporting from Wuhan have also been detained, and many still remain in custody. Lei also contracted virus and hopes to get justice for her far’s death. She vowed t to give up.

When Coronavirus emerged from Wuhan it became first major epicentre of pandemic where it is said to have infected people from a wet market. Currently, city seems to have recovered and in process of reopening. However, coronavirus continues to claim lives across globe with United States, Brazil, and India being hardest-hit countries at moment.

Amid heavy opposition from China over virus spre, WHO on June 18 at World Health Assembly agreed to resolution signed by 123 member countries including all member countries of European Union, 50 African nations and India amongst ors, seeking an independent investigation into COVID-19 pandemic.
Apart from this, China's expansionist tactics, at a time when world is reeling under effects of coronavirus, have also faced serious criticism with countries like United States, United Kingdom, Australia and India hitting back at China over its mopoly of South China sea, its atrocities in Hong Kong or its attempts to infiltrate LAC.
