Akhilesh Yadav: 'CM Yogi Adityanath created a crime-friendly Govt'

Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday, at an election rally in Rampur, attacked the Yogi Adityanath led-Uttar Pradesh Government over the killing of Hindu Samaj Party chief Kamlesh Tiwari and accused the government of creating a "crime-friendly environment" in the State. During the rally, Yadav alleged that as the government failed to provide Tiwari with enough security cover, leading to the murder. Yadav stated, "A (former) Hindu Mahasabha leader was murdered in Lucknow. His mother's statement is repeatedly being played on television. She is saying that the only time they were provided security was during the SP government. However, the Yogi Ggovernment didn't provide with the security cover, resulting in his murder."
'Crime-friendly environment'
During the election rally, the SP President accused CM Yogi Adityanath of creating a crime-friendly environment in the State. He questioned that "how can they prevent the murder if the CM himself says - "If you want to keep the system in order, do not hesitate to kill". He further accused that Adityanath has trained the people in the State to kill in such a way that neither the people nor the police will come to know about the killer.

Kamlesh Tiwari murder case
The former chief of Hindu Mahasabha Kamlesh Tiwari was shot and he succumbed to injuries after being taken to Trauma Centre in Lucknow on Friday afternoon. According to reports, Tiwari was a controversial leader who had recently floated his own outfit called the Hindu Sabha. He was an appellant in Ayodhya land dispute case in the Supreme Court. Preliminary investigation on Friday revealed pictures of two men donned in saffron attire outside his home. Further, a revolver was recovered from the site of the crime.

Gujarat ATS arrests three suspects
The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Saturday arrested three suspects in relation to the murder case of Kamlesh Tiwari. According to the police, the three accused have been identified as - Maulana Mohsin Sheikh (24), Khurshid Ahmed Pathan (23) and Faizan (21) who allegedly killed Tiwari for his objectionable comments during a 2015 speech. In a separate development, news agency ANI has reported that the Uttar Pradesh police is investigating Maulana Anwarul Haq from Bijnor. In 2015, he had placed a bounty of Rs. 51 lakh for beheading Kamlesh Tiwari. He was one of the two suspects named by Tiwari’s wife in her complaint to the police.
