Hailing anti-Romeo squ in BJP Delhi chief Maj Tiwari has said that it should be welcome in National Capital as well. Speaking to media on Saturday, BJP MP from rth-East Delhi praised anti-Romeo squ saying that it is a very good thing and it should be started in Delhi as it is related to safety of women in National Capital.
"Anti-Romeo squ is a very good thing & it is being started in Uttar Presh again. It should be welcomed as it is related to women safety. In my opinion, it should be started in Delhi also," Maj Tiwari said speaking in matter.

However, opposing BJP's opinion on starting anti-Romeo squs in Delhi, AAP leer Sanjay Singh said that Arvind Kejriwal-led party will t "hooliganism" in National Capital.
"It will become difficult for girls and boys to go to colleges toger. You will run anti-Romeo in Delhi? BJP also me a claim in its manifesto that it will form an anti-Romeo squ from its own party. I think this is a thinking a failed Police which has t been able to provide security to women. We will t allow this hooliganism in Delhi," Sanjay Singh said.

Anti-Romeo squs were started by Yogi ityanath-led UP government, within days of him coming to power in May 2017, in order to tackle instances of harassment and molestation of women and girls. However, teams h drawn much criticism from certain sections of society after allegations of m “harassing” consenting couple surfaced.

Meanwhile, ida Police held a meeting of Anti-Romeo squs on Wednesday wherein it was decided that members of squ will, in an attempt to make public places safe, issue red cards to suspects.
city police will issue "red cards" to offenders found harassing women at public places in state, in order to send a warning to m before initiating criminal proceedings against m if y are caught indulging in act again.
