Kejriwal calls on non-BJP parties to defeat bill on Centre's ordinance in Rajya Sabha

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday urged n-BJP parties to unite and defeat in Rajya Sabha bill related to Centre's ordinance on control of services in national capital.
Aam Ami Party (AAP) national conver was dressing a press conference after meeting Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Shar Pawar, who assured to support former in his party's fight against ordinance.

Earlier, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray have assured ir support to Kejriwal in this matter.
Delhi CM said he will seek time on Friday for a meeting with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and party leer Rahul Gandhi to discuss issue.

"If all n-BJP parties unite, bill can be defeated in Rajya Sabha as party enjoys majority in Upper House of Parliament," he said.
" ordinance has affected federal structure of country. Elected governments t being allowed to work by using ordinances is t good for country," Kejriwal ded.

Pawar, who was present at press conference, said right of elected governments to govern needs to be protected and said all n-BJP parties should support AAP in this matter.
"Kejriwal should also meet all n-BJP parties to convince m. It is our responsibility to persue everyone - be it Congress or Biju Janata Dal (BJD)," he suggested.

Describing national interest as a matter of priority, former Union minister called for need to have a dialogue between all n-BJP parties to provide a stable and progressive government when time comes.
Parliamentary democracy needs to be saved, Pawar said, ding that NCP will support AAP in this matter.

Calling Pawar one of tallest leers in country, Kejriwal thanked him for backing AAP in its fight against ordinance.
Kejriwal slammed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and alleged that "if people vote for a n-BJP government, n party resorts to three methods (in order to topple that government) - purchase MLAs from ruling side, show fear of Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or promulgate an ordinance to ensure elected government is unable to function."

Pawar said, "I have been a parliamentarian for 56 years. This is t a matter of Delhi or AAP but of saving parliamentary democracy." "When a Parliament building alrey exists in country, wher re is any need for a new one is a matter of debate. When we get an opportunity, we will speak in Parliament," Pawar said on a query regarding opposition parties deciding to skip inauguration of new Parliament complex on May 28 at hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Replying to a question on PM candidate, former Union minister said inste of projecting anyone as a PM candidate, it was important to have a dialogue between n-BJP parties to provide a stable and progressive government.
"But we haven't spoken yet eir with Congress or with Arvind Kejriwal. When time comes, we will talk. National interest is a priority for us," he said.
On seat-sharing among Maha Vikas Aghi (MVA) allies in Maharashtra for upcoming elections, Pawar said it has been decided that all three partners will depute ir respective leers for talks.

On Tuesday, Kejriwal and Mann met ir West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata as part of ir nationwide tour to garner support for AAP’s fight against Centre’s ordinance.
Centre last Friday promulgated ordinance to create an authority for transfer and posting of Group-A officers in Delhi, with AAP government calling move a deception with Supreme Court verdict on control of services.
ordinance, which comes a week after Supreme Court handed over control of services in Delhi excluding police, public order and land to elected government, seeks to set up a National Capital Civil Service Authority for transfer of and disciplinary proceedings against Group-A officers from DANICS cre.
Transfer and postings of all officers of Delhi government were under executive control of lieutenant goverr before May 11 verdict of apex court.
