CM Yogi sends buses to bring back UP students stranded in Rajasthan's Kota amid lockdown

Around 7500 students hailing from Uttar Presh are staying in hostels and paying guest accommodations in Kota city, kwn for its coaching centres especially for engineering and medical aspirants. Since lockdown was imposed across country last month to control spre of COVID-19 infections, students have been anxious to get back to ir homes in different states. A social media campaign called#SendUsBackHome was started on Tuesday by students stuck amid pandemic.
While Bihar has been protesting against sending back students, suggesting that y should stay put wherever y are amid lockdown, to reduce risk of spre of virus, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has praised this move and said that or state governments should also ensure that students stranded in coaching city during lockdown are able to reach ir homes safely. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has said that sending buses is a violation of lockdown.

Kota ministration makes arrangements
Kota district collector Om Kasera, following state-level decision, deputed M (min) Narendra Gupta to coordinate arrangements with ASP Rajesh Mill. buses from UP started reaching coaching hub on Friday evening and are likely to start taking students to ir hometowns in UP after rmal screening by Friday night, officials said. y ded that only 30 students will be allowed to board one bus in order to ensure social distancing and prevent spre of infection.

"We have enlisted students district-wise to board buses to travel to ir hometowns in UP. y would be provided with face masks, sanitisers and food packets," Nitesh Sharma of Allen Career Institute said, ding that instructions issued by district ministration are being followed to facilitate students' return.
According to district officials, three locations -- landmark Allen ground, Sakar building near hotel Country Inn and private bus stand near Jawahar Nagar petrol pump -- have been marked for parking of buses reaching Kota from UP. buses, after boarding students, would depart for ir home destinations from six or locations -- Sangyan building, Cooperative building, Sathyarth building in Jawahar Nagar, Vibrant, Motion and Resonance buildings in Vigyan Nagar in city, y said.
