F1 has a strange revenue sharing model as revenue is not distributed equally between teams. re is an equal portion that is paid to each team that has finished in top ten positions in Constructor's Championship for two of past three seasons, referred to as 'Column 1 Payment.' As per 'Column 2 Payment,' each team is paid based on where y finished in Constructor's Championship in previous year. Hence, champions receive most while last team receives least.

Columns 1 & 2 payments represent two-thirds of total prize money each year. or one-third is distributed between teams on basis of separate deals between F1 and teams. Mercedes, Red Bull, Ferrari and McLaren receive a payment that is known as Constructors Championship Bonus (CCB). CCB is given for teams' long term commitment to sport. Because bigger teams are paid higher sums of money irrespective of where y finish in Constructor's Championship, re has long been a dispute when it comes to distribution of prize money.
